AutoCut alternative

An AutoCut alternative for podcasts in Resolve.

Where SOLD CUT is different

One payment instead of a plan

€150 covers your studio Mac and your laptop, with every update, including the next major version. Nothing to renew, and the app keeps working offline.

It starts before the edit

Most tools start from a timeline you have already synced. SOLD CUT starts from the folder of camera cards and recorder files: it syncs everything by sound or timecode, starts Resolve by itself and builds the project and the timeline. Why syncing is half the work.

Built only for DaVinci Resolve

The cut lands as a real Resolve timeline with every angle kept underneath, disabled, so any shot is one click away. Split screens are compound clips, subtitles a subtitle track, react layouts Fusion compositions. Your original timeline is never written.

Rules from a podcast studio

The camera choices follow editing rules tuned on hundreds of our own episodes: hold on real turns, absorb short interjections, go wide at the right moments. We measured the result against Resolve’s SmartSwitch on a real episode: see the numbers.

When AutoCut is the better fit

If you edit in Premiere Pro or on Windows, or you want one subscription for many kinds of videos beyond podcasts, AutoCut covers more ground. If you edit multicam podcasts in DaVinci Resolve Studio on a Mac, SOLD CUT does that whole job in one app. See also the AutoPod comparison and every automatic podcast tool for Resolve.

Questions

Does SOLD CUT work on Windows or in Premiere Pro?
